Video - Who Is Leo Howard the Karate Master? - Biography, Photos, Video and News!

Kickin' It Star Leo Howard
Leo Howard – a name most are not familiar with.

But beware, because over the next few years you’re going to hear a lot about this 14-year-old extraordinary young man.

Let’s start with the basics:

Leo Howard was born on July 13, 1997 in Newport Beach California and lives near San Diego today.

From a young age Leo was fascinated by the martial arts, karate and kobudo and has studied the arts since he was just a child.

Today, Leo is a black belt master in the field of karate, Shorei Ru, and Wu Shu, and has stunned audiences since he was just 8-years-old with his karate, martial arts, and stunt skills.

Leo’s acting career started when he was just 8-years-old with a small role as the front desk clerk in the television documentary “Camp Hollywood”.

From there, Leo got his big break on the TV series “Monk” playing the role of a young karate expert. From that one appearance, Leo Howard’s acting career took off.

Black Belt Karate Master
His mix of acting ability combined with his karate expertise is amazing, and producers and talent scouts took notice and started beating down his door.

2009 was a breakout year for Leo as he appeared in six different movie and TV projects that propelled him into a fast track Hollywood vocation.

First was the movie “Aussie and Ted's Great Adventure” about a lovable Australian dog who embarks on a mission to return his young owner's missing Teddy Bear.

Next was the movie “G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra” working alongside Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Sienna Miller and Dennis Quaid – a story about an elite military unit comprised of special operatives known as G.I. Joe that takes on an evil organization led by a disreputable arms dealer. Leo performed all of his own stunts and impressed the director and audiences alike.

With two movies under his black belt, Leo completed his third movie titled “Shorts” working with Jon Cryer, William H. Macy, and James Spader.

“Shorts” told the story of a young boy's discovery of a colorful, wish-granting rock that causes pandemonium in the town of Black Falls and the jealous kids and cunning adults that try to steal it from him.

“Shorts” was the big break for Leo and showed he could hold his own in a large movie project. But his celebrity status was just starting to be noticed.

Disney got wind of Leo and cast him in his own show in 2009 called “Leo Little’s Big Show” where he appeared in thirteen episodes about him and his sister Amy who host a show about Disney stars, shows, and movies from their family room.

After appearing in two episodes of “Zeke and Luther” about two best friends who want to become the world's greatest skateboarders, Leo was hired for his first starring role in the movie “Logan”, about two brothers who have their minds set on an impossible task.

“Logon” showed Hollywood that Leo had the staying power to not only carry a feature length movie but also work the long hours necessary for a television series while performing action sequences and his own stunts at the same time. Leo Howard was becoming a star.

But his big big Hollywood break came in 2011 when the Disney XD network cast Leo in the role of Jake in the network’s karate action TV series “Kickin’ It” working with Hanna Montana veteran actor Jason Earles.

The series is set at the Bobby Wasabi Martial Arts Academy - a strip mall martial arts studio and the worst dojo in the nationwide Bobby Wasabi chain.

The plot revolves around a motley crew of endearing misfit teens who welcome a hotshot skateboarder named Jack who teaches them about life, karate, and how to just plain kick it.

Kickin’ It” was one of Disney’s highest rated new shows and forever cemented Leo’s star on Hollywood.

Leo also scored a major role as the young Conan in director Marcus Nispel’s “Conan the Barbarian” where again he performed all his stunts and karate moves while in heavy movie makeup and shirtless barbarian period costumes.

“Conan” tells of the quest that begins as a personal vendetta for the warrior but soon turns into an epic battle against colossal rivals, horrifying monsters, and impossible odds.

It’s clear that at only 14-years-old Leo Howard is going to be around for a long time. His combination of acting, humor, martial arts, karate, and teen idol appeal along with the marketing might of Disney tells us his star has just began to rise over Hollywood.

Top Five Stoner Movies to Celebrate April 20 Cannabis Day – And What Is All This Stuff About 420?

By now you have probably seen all the references to 420 and may be wondering what the deal is.

The term was created by a group of teenage pot smokers in San Rafael, California in 1971. They called themselves the “Waldos”, because their favorite place to hang-out was a wall outside the school.

The group first used the term in connection with a plan to search for an abandoned marijuana crop they had heard about. The Waldos designated the Louis Pasteur statue on the grounds of San Rafael High School as their meeting place, and 4:20 p.m. as their meeting time.

The Waldos referred to this plan with the phrase "4:20 Louis”

While the teens never found their pot of gold, the phrase eventually evolved into just “420”, a code word used to mean pot-smoking or being part of the pot culture in general.

So to celebrate this cannabis day on April 20, 2011, we have compiled a list of the five best stoner movies ever made.

5 - Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back
4 - Cheech and Chong “Up in Smoke”
3 - Richard Linklater's “Dazed and Confused”

China Tells Television and Film Producers – ‘Don’t Go Back In Time Please’

In case you were every wondering why the United States is the greatest nation on earth – here is one reason.

While the U.S. has laws that regulate certain “words” or “situations” of broadcast television, we don’t generally try to censor the plot.

China, on the other hand, has in no uncertain terms just laid down the law for film and TV producers in their country. And when the “State” owns all the networks and newspapers, well – whatever they say goes.

New guidelines issued last month discourage plot lines that contain elements of fantasy, time-travel, random compilations of mythical stories, bizarre plots, absurd techniques, even propagating feudal superstitions, fatalism and reincarnation, ambiguous moral lessons, and a lack of positive thinking.

The government thinks the media shouldn’t have characters that travel back in time and rewrite history. They say this goes against Chinese heritage, they also say that myth, superstitions and reincarnation are all questionable.

Yea, like this is the biggest problem they have in China.

Oh well, guess I won’t be able to watch “Star Trek” reruns during my next visit. That's okay - I couldn't understand then anyway.

‘The Hobbit’ Finally Starts Filming In New Zealand – New Set Photos

It is finally happening!

After almost two years of delays and problems, Peter Jackson has finally started filming on the new multi-part 3D epic companion to the “Lord of the Rings” trilogy titled “The Hobbit”.

The decision to film “The Hobbit” in 3D was a difficult one, and slowed pre-production and set development.

The $500 million epic project has been plagued with problems that at times seemed close to destroying the idea of seeing middle earth on the big screen again.

Several script problems needed to be worked through and a labor union dispute slowed production to a crawl. MGM Studios faced serious financial problems and the team lost famed writer and producer Guillermo del Toro after he had already put two years of work into the project before it even got off the ground.

Current director Peter Jackson spent time in the hospital for stress related problems, and the earthquake in Christ Church caused further delays in New Zealand.

But after overcoming all these obstacles, filming has now started and the project is on track.

“The Hobbit Part 1” stars Cate Blanchett, Orlando Bloom, Elijah Wood as Frodo, Martin Freeman as Bilbo Baggins, Ian McKellen as Gandalf, and a possible appearance by Leonard Nimoy as Smaug.

Part one tells the continuing story of Bilbo Baggins, a Hobbit, who journeys to the Lonely Mountain accompanied by a group of dwarves to reclaim a treasure taken from them by the dragon Smaug.

Along the way there are adventures with trolls and elves, a battle with goblins, the naming of Bilbo's sword as “Sting” after a battle with some spiders, escaping from Wargs, and a barrel ride in a river.

Of course there is a great battle, “The Battle of Five Armies”, which includes men, dwarves, elves, goblins with Wargs, and more.

The journey leads Bilbo Baggins into the “Riddles in the Dark” where he meets Gollum and receives a powerful ring that will have a great impact on the future of their world.

General release is slated for Christmas 2012 - assuming no more delays, and if the real world has not been destroyed by Orcs, or the impending 2012 end of the world prophecies.

J.R.R. Tolkien would have been proud.

Christian Bale Erupts On "Terminator Salvation" Movie Set

Remember last year when Christian Bale was arrested for exploding in a fit of anger before his "Dark Knight" premier? Well, it looks like the actor is up to his angry fits again.

A new audiotape has surfaced of Bale on the set of "Terminator Salvation", and it is bad.

It is over five minutes long, and contains explicit language of the actor upset with a DP (Director of Photography) who ruined a scene by walking into the shot.

We're all for a little elite behavior by celebrities, but this goes beyond the norm.

Over and over, the actor yells and screams at the DP, and threatens to walk off the set if he is not fired. You can hear the nastiness in his voice.

After apologizing profusely, the employee is continually asked, "What were you thinking", and "What the hell is your problem".

It was so bad; management sent the tape to the insurance company overseeing the production in case there are ramifications. If Bale walks off the set, the movie is done and a lot of people are out a lot of money. If they can show he acted unprofessionally and walked away without good reason, the insurance company might have a cause to go after the diva for a refund.

You can listen to the audio here

Bale is also working on the films "Killing Pablo", the true story of how the Colombian gangster, Pablo Escobar, was assassinated and his Medellin cocaine cartel shut down, and "Public Enemies", starring with Johnny Depp about the Feds trying to take down notorious gangsters John Dillinger, Baby Face Nelson and Pretty Boy Floyd during a crime wave in the 1930s

"Terminator Salvation" is due for release this May and tells the story of what happens after Skynet has destroyed much of humanity in a nuclear holocaust, and a group of survivors led by John Connor struggles to keep the machines from finishing the job.

Nick Nolte Escapes Burning House - Conflicting Reports Emerge

Nick Nolte had a bad Tuesday morning. It seems his Malibu California house caught on fire and he tried to put it out himself, and then broke a window to escape.

The fire broke out about 11:30 in the morning at the actor's beachfront complex in Malibu, and was fully involved by the time firefighters arrived.

Fire department spokesman Scott Chew said,

"The occupant of the house, actor Nick Nolte, received a small cut on his right hand when he broke a window to escape the fire."

The fire department said the house was a total loss, but Nolte's rep says, "No one was injured and there was no structural damage to the house".

Paramedics at the scene treated the actor for cuts and minor smoke inhalation, but Nolte refused to go to the hospital.

Press reports put the damage anywhere between $1.5-$3.5 million dollars, and have quoted Nolte as saying a computer printer in his office started the fire. The celebrity said he is considering filing a lawsuit against the manufacturer.

Nolte has just completed work on the thriller "Nine Miles Down", about a security expert who is sent to a remote scientific camp to investigate strange things that are happening.

The actor is currently filming the dramatic "Arcadia Lost", due next March and starring Nolte and Haley Bennett. The film is a coming-of-age story with a mystery at its core, and explores Greece through the eyes of teenage Americans who encounter a country of mystery, life and death, and the sacred and blasphemous.

'Depressed' Angelina Jolie Seen In Public For The First Time In Months

Angelina Jolie was seen in public this week for the first time since media reports claim the actress is suffering from a bad case of postpartum depression.

Jolie was seen at a New York airport with Brad Pitt and their family of six, including the cute two-year-old Shiloh.

Jolie is getting ready for the premiere of her new movie "Changeling" next week, which will be her first public appearance since giving birth to Vivienne and Knox in July.

"Changeling" is directed by Clint Eastwood and stars Jolie and John Malkovich, and is the story of what happens when a mother's prayer for her kidnapped son to return home go answered, though it doesn't take long for her to suspect the boy who comes back is not hers.

Brad Pitt, 44, spent most of last month at the Venice Italy and Toronto Film Festivals promoting his new films "Burn After Reading" and "The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button". Angelina stayed away from the public and media, instead spending her time isolated at the Chateau Miraval in Provence, France.

Last week the family moved their flock to the Palais Parkschloss villa, south of Berlin Germany, while Pitt works on scenes for his latest film "Inglorious Bastards", written and directed by Quentin Tarantino.

Last month, news reports surfaced that Angelina was suffering from depression following the birth of her twins. A report in one magazine claims Angelina feels that Brad has things easy - he had the kids without the pain of birth, and he can just pick up and travel around the world whenever he wants to.

The unmarried partners family now consist of three adopted children and three biological children - Maddox, 7; Vietnamese Pax Thien, 4; Ethiopian Zahara, 3; Shiloh Nouvel, 2; and twins Knox and Vivienne, 10 weeks.

Even with already having six young children, Brad Pitt often speaks of his desire to have a 'sports team' sized family. Easy to say when you have hundreds of millions of dollars, and no womb.

DiCaprio and Crowe In "Body Of Lies" - Review And Movie Trailer

Trust no one. Deceive everyone. That's the motto for "Body Of Lies".

The upcoming thriller is based on Washington Post columnist David Ignatius' 2007 novel about a CIA operative, Roger Ferris (Leonardo DiCaprio), who uncovers the whereabouts of a major terrorist leader suspected of operating in Jordan.

When Ferris devises a plan to penetrate his network, he must first win the support of crafty CIA veteran Ed Hoffman (Russell Crowe), and the friendly, but perhaps suspect, leader of the Jordanian intelligence group.

Although seemingly his allies, Ferris questions how much he can really trust these men without putting the entire operation - and his life - on the line.

When asked about the urgency of tracking down the evil al-Qaeda operative known as Suleiman he says,

''We think Suleiman is coming to America next, maybe with nuclear or biological weapons,'' says Ferris' CIA superior. ''He has all the strings in his hand. And one of these days, he's going to pull them.''

The film was directed by Ridley Scott, and stars Leonardo DiCaprio as Roger Ferris, Russell Crowe as Ed Hoffman, Mark Strong as Hani, and Golshifteh Farahani as Aisha. It is rated R for strong violence including some torture, and for language throughout. The film opens October 10.

The film is certainly full of explosions, lies, bad neighborhoods, terrorists, secrets and disguises. The script is well thought out, and no detail was overlooked - even while trying to create German street scenes on U.S. street film shoots. But the filming took its toll on the actors.

Leonardo DiCaprio was left so shattered after a torture scene that he was ill for days. The actor prepared for the scene in a former Moroccan jail for months, but had no idea the intensity of the shoot would leave him drained and sick. DiCaprio told reporters,

"We did that scene in the middle of some medieval torture tomb. There was some kind of horrific dust in the air. I got sick for two or three days afterward because of the intense energy it took."

The Secret Life Of Bees - Early Review And Movie Trailer

"The Secret Life Of Bees" pairs the unusual combination of Dakota Fanning and Queen Latifah, in a truly deep and emotional film about learning what having a real family is all about.

Set in South Carolina during 1960's, the film tells the story Lily Owens (Dakota Fanning), a 14 year-old girl who is troubled by the memory of her mother's death. To escape her isolated surroundings and difficult relationship with her father, Lily runs away with Rosaleen (Jennifer Hudson), her caretaker and only friend, to a South Carolina town that Lily believes holds the secret to her mother's past.

Taken in by the intelligent and business-minded Boatwright sisters (Queen Latifah, Alicia Keys and Sophie Okonedo), Lily finds comfort in their fascinating world of beekeeping, honey and the Black Madonna. Along the way, she learns what it means to be surrounded by people who love her - as family. But at the same time she gets to see first hand how segregation and racism, that was previously unknown to Lily, effects the lives of those she has learned to love.

It is a gripping movie that shows us adults that sometimes the pureness of a child's love can transcend hatred, racism and adversity, and how prejudices can exist for generations simply out of ignorance.

"The Secret Life Of Bees" is scheduled to open October 17, 2008 and is rated PG-13 for minor violence and adult themes. The film was written and directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood, and based on the novel by Sue Monk Kidd.

Dakota Fanning can be seen again in February in the animated family film "Coraline", starring Fanning as the voice of Coraline, and Teri Hatcher as the voice of her mother. Adapted from the best-selling book, Coraline is the story of a curious girl (Fanning) who unlocks a mysterious door in her family's new home and enters into an adventure in a parallel reality.

Megan Fox In "How to Lose Friends & Alienate People" - Review And Movie Trailer

The "Funny" is starting to creep back into the next batch of movies paving the way for the November blockbuster season, and this week ushers in a good one. "How to Lose Friends & Alienate People" opens Friday, and will definitely make you laugh.

The film was directed by Robert B. Weide, and stars Simon Pegg, Megan Fox, Jeff Bridges, Kirsten Dunst and Gillian Anderson, and revolves around a British writer who struggles to fit in at a high-profile magazine in New York.

The screenplay was based on Toby Young's memoir "How to Lose Friends & Alienate People".

Sidney Young (Simon Pegg) is a cynical academic type who both loves and hates the world of Hollywood, celebrity, fame and glamour.

His alternative magazine, 'Post Modern Review', jabs fun at the tabloid and media obsessed celebrities and goes against the traditional grain. When Young is offered a job at the completely opposite conservative New York based 'Sharps' magazine, its somewhat of a shock to his system.

It seems Sharps editor, Clayton Harding (Jeff Bridges), is amused by Young's disturbance at a post awards party with a pig posing as a celebrity. The stunt starts Sidney's descent into success - his gradual move from contemptuous Hollywood outsider to confidante of super-star celebrity Sophie Maes (Megan Fox) - and a love affair with colleague Alison Olsen (Kirsten Dunst), which will either make him or break him.

Brace yourselves, it is a funny movie, and may spark a new career for funnyman Simon Pegg. It seems Pegg wants to swap his acting for music after he played the drums during a party for the premiere of the film. Following the star-studded London premiere of the movie on Wednesday, British band Guillemots performed at the after party held at Shoreditch House.

Pegg grabbed the drumsticks and banged out some songs with the "Get Over It" hit makers - and fell in love with the instrument. Pegg says, "I think I might kill the drummer and take his job full-time."

Michael Cera Ready With "Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist" - Early Review And Movie Trailer

The Fall movie season is starting to heat up, and on deck this week is the Michael Cera comedy "Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist" due October 3.

Cera, known for his roles in "Juno", "Superbad" and the cult favorite television series "Arrested Development", once again shows us why moviegoers love the young actor.

Michael Cera plays high school student Nick O'Leary, a member of the Queercore band "The Jerk Offs", who meets Norah Silverberg (Kat Dennings), and she asks him to be her boyfriend for five minutes while Nick is still getting over his recent breakup with his one true love Tris.

But everything falls apart when Nick sees Tris out and about with another man.

How could she have moved on so fast?

Nick, in a desperate attempt to show Tris he's moved on also, turns to Norah and asks her to be his five-minute girlfriend. This begins the night of Nick, Norah and Manhattan, which consists of stripping nuns, hotel ice rooms, Russian food, psychotic ex-boyfriends and lovingly trashy ex-girlfriends. It's the night of Julio and Salvatore, holding hands and writing songs and singing in the rain.

It's a night they'll never forget - but wish they could.

Michael Cera told reporters at the movie premier,

"It's not a teen film. The movie is really about that vibe you have when you meet someone great on one night and then run the risk of losing him or her forever.

Just don't dig too deep when it comes to the grand meaning of it all.

It's not something I've personally gone through or a fantasy for me, it's just the story, you know - just the way the script was written."

Watch Michael Cera In "Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist" Extended Movie Trailer

Cera will also be seen next year in the Harold Ramis adventure comedy "Year One", starring Cera and Jack Black. Cera will play a man in the biblical age, where after a couple of lazy hunter-gatherers (Black and Cera) are banished from their primitive village, they set off on an epic journey through the ancient world.

Cera is currently filming the romantic comedy "Youth in Revolt" due in April, where he plays the character Nick Twisp. The film revolves around Nick, a 14-year-old boy whose trailer trash parents are teetering on the edge of divorce. Nick sets his sights on his dream girl Sheeni Saunders (Portia Doubleday), hoping that she'll be the one to take away his virginity.

Kirk Cameron Sets Box Office On Fire With "Fireproof" - Review And Movie Trailer

Kirk Cameron has not been seen on a movie screen in seven years, but guess who is the hottest ticket heading into the weekend?

With regard to advance sales, Cameron's dramatic "Fireproof", a super low-budget marriage themed family Christian drama opening in 800 theaters, has out-sold Shia LaBeouf's $105 million, country-wide opening of thriller "Eagle Eye".

Related Story: Shia LaBeouf In "Eagle Eye" - Early Review And Movie Trailer

But don't let the numbers fool you. The concept of advanced sales doesn't always shed accurate light on the long-term success of a film. In fact, it can be downright misleading. Industry analysts are not surprised, and believe the religious nature of the film lends itself to aggressive group sales.

That market for "Fireproof" is largely made up of churchgoers and secular Christian groups, the audiences that helped make Mel Gibson's "The Passion of the Christ" a blockbuster, and the popular "Left Behind" book series by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins.

Christian leader James Dobson's Focus on the Family highly commended "Fireproof", and talked-up the film relentlessly on his radio shows, even airing an interview with Kirk Cameron.

And the Baptist Press urged readers: "Get your church behind it. Mark the weekend of Sept. 26-28 on your calendar. And go see it."

"Fireproof" made up over 40 percent of all advance sales this week on Fandango and Movietickets.com , the services said. "Eagle Eye" came in second.

Kirk Cameron, 37, became famous with his role on the television series "Growing Pains", and has recently become known for his work with his Christian ministry and the TBN show, "The Way of the Master". Cameron also starred in the first two movies from the Rapture-focused "Left Behind" series.

"Fireproof" stars Kirk Cameron as Caleb Holt, who lives by the old firefighter's adage: Never leave your partner behind. Inside burning buildings, it's his natural instinct. In the cooling embers of his marriage, it's another story.

After a decade of marriage, Caleb and Catherine Holt (Erin Bethea ) have drifted so far apart that they are ready to move on without each other. Yet as they prepare to enter divorce proceedings, Caleb's dad asks his son to try an experiment: "The Love Dare".

While hoping The Love Dare has nothing to do with his parents' newfound faith, Caleb commits to the challenge. But can he attempt to love his wife while avoiding God's love for him? Will he be able to demonstrate love over and over again to a person that's no longer receptive to his love? Or is this just another marriage destined to go up in smoke?

James Bond "Quantum Of Solace" New Movie Trailer And Early Review

The new James Bond 007 "Quantum Of Solace" movie trailer does not have the crash and bang action impact as the first one, but it does give some new clues to the whole "Quantum of Solace" mystery.

The film picks up an hour after the end of "Casino Royale", and revolves around the adventures of James Bond in a manipulative and dangerous mission of uncovering the truth behind the organization which blackmailed his former lover, Vesper Lynd, while fighting the urge to avenge his broken heart.

It seems that some bad guy desires "the world's most precious resource" and it's up to James Bond to stop him and his lively gang with an assortment of gut punches, flying kicks, jumping motorcycles, soaring speedboats, swooping helicopters, massive explosions, clever gadgets and the occasional look that kills.

Daniel Craig stars as the infamous James Bond, while Judi Dench heads up the Foreign Intelligence wing of Her Majesty's Secret Service as "M". The highlight of the new move trailer is when James Bond falls off a balcony while fighting with a bad guy. The lowlight is the opening segment of the clip with what looks like a high-tech car commercial.

But the plot seems to be a bit clearer now: On a mission that leads him to Austria, Italy and South America, James Bond discovers that Greene (Mathieu Amalric), is conspiring to take total control of one of the worlds most important natural resources, and is forging a deal with the exiled General Medrano.

Using his associates in the organization, and manipulating his powerful contacts within the CIA and the British government, Greene promises to overthrow the existing regime in a Latin American country, giving the General control of the country in exchange for an apparently desolate piece of land, which is a main source of the South American water supply.

In a web of deceit, murder and deception, James Bond (Daniel Craig) partners with old associates in a battle to uncover the truth. As Bond gets closer to finding the man responsible for the betrayal of Vesper, 007 must keep one step ahead of the CIA, the terrorists and even M, to unravel Greene's sinister plan and stop Quantum from getting its way.

"Quantum Of Solace" is due in theaters November 11, and has had its share of production problems along the way. Craig was rushed to hospital in June after hurting himself on-set in South America, and was recently seen nursing a bruised eye and broken arm, expensive set vehicles malfunctioned causing accidents, and fires here and there slowed production for weeks.

We suspect it will be worth the wait, even if just to hear the new soundtrack and theme song written by Jack White and Alicia Keys.

Ricky Gervais And Greg Kinnear Ready For "Ghost Town" - Review And Movie Trailer

You can always tell when summer is drawing to a close. The movies start to get a little better in anticipation of the Thanksgiving and Christmas blockbuster season.

On deck is "Ghost Town" starring Greg Kinnear and Ricky Gervais.

In real life, Ricky Gervais does not believe in ghosts, but put them on a movie screen and he's more than happy to see dead people.

Gervais, who stars in the supernatural romantic comedy "Ghost Town" told reporters at the Toronto Film Festival:

"I'm a skeptic across-the-board on ghosts and things like ESP and the afterlife. But it doesn't change the fact that the romance of Hollywood lets you take someone on a journey against their will, really, if it's done well."

"Ghost Town" casts Gervais as cynical New York dentist Bertram Pincus, who loves his job because people can't talk to him while he's working on them.

A near-death experience while under anesthesia for a Colonoscopy leaves Pincus with the ability to see ghosts - and they appear to him everywhere, in the park, at his office, in the bathroom, and in his bedroom. Pincus is the only person who can allow them to finally rest in peace, but only if he is willing to help them clear up unfinished business they have with the people they loved while still alive.

Greg Kinnear co-stars as Frank Herlihy, a manipulative adulterer in life who continues his devious ways after he's killed in a freak sidewalk accident. Frank promises Pincus that he can make the annoying ghosts go away forever if he will break up the approaching marriage of his widow, Gwen Herlihy (Tea Leoni).

"Ghost Town" runs 102 minutes, and is due in theaters September 19. The film is rated PG-13 for some strong language, sexual humor and drug references.

This movie may be a good way to usher out the dull summer sophomoric comedies, and get the ball rolling toward the upcoming fall blockbusters.

"Eagle Eye" is one of those, "Gosh, what if that ever happened to me" kind of movies, and Labeouf pulls it off with his innocent, but ruthless personality. Fortunately, LaBeouf had completed the film before he landed in the hospital for emergency surgery on a smashed wrist received when he rolled his truck.

Related Story: Shia LaBeouf Back To Work After Accident And Wrist Surgery

When LaBeouf returns home, both he and a single mother find they have been framed as terrorists. Forced to become members of a terror network that plans to carry out a political assassination, they must work together to clear their names.

Jerry Shaw (Shia LaBeouf) and Rachel Holloman (Michelle Monaghan) are the two strangers thrown together by a mysterious phone call from a woman they have never met. Threatening their lives and family, she pushes Jerry and Rachel into a series of increasingly dangerous situations, using the technology of everyday life (cell phones and GPS) to track and control their every move.

As the situation escalates, they become the country's most wanted fugitives, and must try to discover what is really happening -- and more importantly, why.

There are some scary and intense moments in the film, and LaBeouf is spreading his wings and showing audiences he has the punch to carry a feature action film. Billy Bob Thornton makes a great adversary as the FBI agent trying to sort out the bizarre story. But it is clear from the opening that Shia LaBeouf is the star of this show.

So who is the female voice we hear on the phone? No one knows. Many actresses have been suggested, including Julia Roberts, Diane Lane, Carrie Ann Moss, and Rosario Dawson.

But we found out! The answer to the night's burning question came from "Eagle Eye" cast member Rosario Dawson during the movie premier in Los Angeles. Dawson blew the whistle on the famous actress behind the voice on the phone - it is Julianne Moore.

"Eagle Eye" will be in theaters September 26, and is rated PG-13 for intense sequences of action and violence, and for language.

Brad Pitt Ready With "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" - Early Review And Movie Trailer

Hot off the heels of his latest film "Burn After Reading", starring Pitt, George Clooney and Tilda Swinton, Brad Pitt is switching gears in anticipation of his next film due in theaters December 25.

"The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button" is an odd movie that will make you cry and scratch your head. The film stars Pitt, Tilda Swinton and Cate Blanchett, and was directed by David Fincher of "Se7en" fame.

Pitt's character tells people, "I was born under unusual circumstances", and nothing could be further from the truth. The main plot of the film tells the story of a man who starts aging backwards with bizarre consequences.

Based on the short story by F. Scott Fitzgerald, the movie features Benjamin Button, played by Brad Pitt, as and old man who physically ages backward. He is born an old man and ages in reverse until he becomes a baby, and then finally vanishes from the earth.

At age 50, he falls in love with a 30-year-old woman (Cate Blanchett), and must come to terms with the relationship as they literally grow in opposite directions. The movie and soundtrack are eerie, setting the stage for what could be a strange film to be released on Christmas Day.

But it is a gripping film, and well worth the trip to the theater to see it. We suspect the award buzz will start the day it is released.

Brad Pitt And George Clooney In "Burn After Reading" - Early Review And Movie Trailer

Brad Pitt and George Clooney are in Venice Italy this week for the Venice Film Festival, but more importantly they are showing off their latest film project "Burn After Reading".

The comedy was directed by the infamous Coen brothers and is due in U.S. theaters in September.
The film, which premiered Wednesday at the Film Festival, is a story about dumb criminals and idiots - and what happens when their worlds intersect.

Brad Pitt and Frances McDormand play two unlucky gym employees who get into big trouble when the journal of an unsuccessful CIA agent, John Malkovich, falls into their hands, and they attempt to sell them as classified national intelligence secrets. George Clooney portrays an always-sick, big spender having a romantic fling with the CIA agent's unhappy wife, played by Tilda Swinton.

"Burn Without Reading" is set within a spy story for no other reason than "we hadn't done one before," Joel Coen told reporters at the festival.

If you have ever seen a Coen brother's movie you already have an idea of what to expect with "Burn After reading". It is sure to make you laugh, and may be the highlight of the late summer doldrums that plague us each year with sophomoric humor after the big epics like "Iron Man" and "Indiana Jones" are just a faded memory.

Brad Pitt will also be seen this Christmas in the fantasy mystery film "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button", also starring Cate Blanchett and Tilda Swanson, a film that tells the story of Benjamin Button, a man who starts aging backwards with bizarre consequences.

George Clooney is currently filming "The Fantastic Mr. Fox", due in November 2009, and also stars Cate Blanchett. The film is an animated family adventure comedy about angry farmers who get tired of sharing their chickens with a sly fox and look to get rid of their opponent and his family.

Tobey Maguire To Return For "Spider-Man 4"

Tobey Maguire will be back again to play Peter Parker and the web-slinging super hero "Spider-Man", in the fourth sequel of the hit movie franchise, and previous Spider-Man director Sam Raimi will return to direct both the fourth and fifth sequels.

According to Sony Pictures, no definitive deal has been struck for Kirsten Dunst, who plays Peter Parker's on-again, off-again romantic love interest, Mary-Jane Watson, but speculation is a deal will be in place by production time.

There is also no news on a potential actor to play the villain, although Sony does say, "once you find out who the villain is, you'll know who's playing it."

Willem Dafoe played the Green Goblin in the first movie; Alfred Molina played Dr. Otto Octavius in the second outing, and Topher Grace played Venom in the third installment.

This could point to actor Dylan Baker as a possible villain, as his character, Dr. Curt Connors, is the only probable villain set up in "Spider-Man 3."

The character of Curt Connors, Peter Parker's professor at Columbia University, becomes the super villain Lizard in the comic book version, when he suffers an adverse reaction to a serum designed to re-grow a missing limb.

Sony Pictures is considering filming the next two installments, "Spider-Man 4" and "Spider-Man 5," concurrently, and writer James Vanderbilt is developing both scripts. Filming on "Spider-Man 4" will begin next fall. The movie is tentatively scheduled for release in May 2011.

In the meantime, you can catch Toby Maguire this December in the war drama "Brothers", alongside Jake Gyllenhaal and Natalie Portman, a film about a young man who comforts his older brother's wife and children after he goes missing in Afghanistan. Based on Susanne Bier's film "Brothers".
