| Austin Mahone has officially been signed to a record deal |
YouTube signing sensation Austin Mahone has officially been signed to a record label.
Chase Universal Republic has signed the 16-year-old singer and you can expect his current singles “11:11” and “Say Something” to be included on his first album.
Mahone took to his twitter account on Tuesday to tell his fans,
“I’m so excited. Are you ready for some BIG news? - The BIG NEWS is that I'm officially signed to a record label!!! Chase Universal Republic!!"
Austin and his mother Michele had just recently moved from Texas to Miami Florida in anticipation of a record deal and Austin has been travelling the country performing the last few months.
Austin has played sold out shows in Florida, Chicago, New York, Texas, and elsewhere around the country, done countless radio and television interviews, and spent time in Los Angeles helping to prepare for a career in music.
Austins record deal is reported to be what is called a "360" contract that gives him a percentage of profit from merchandise, album sales, publishing, and licensing fees.The deal is estimated to put between $3 and $4 million dollars in the singers pocket.
Mahone has already met Justin Bieber, Carly Rae Jepson, and tons of other celebrities so we all knew it was just a matter of time before he landed a record label deal.

In fact, Austin is technically part of the Bieber family now as both their record labels tier into the Universal Music Group (UMG) company!

ummmm wrong... this is all just a publicity stunt by his management. He actually signed to their label for free and their label has a distribution deal with Universal just like any other Indie label. They made the three to four million dollars up in their heads so that the press would promote the story. Austin hasn't actually signed with anyone other than his managers label and for no money... and that's the truth.
