Video - Katy Perry Premiers “Last Friday Night” Music Video – Channels Geek Nerd Persona

Katy Perry Goes Geek Nerd
There’s a stranger in my bed, there’s a pounding in my head...

Move over Rebecca Black, Katy Perry has a new song about Friday.

Katy has just released her latest video “Last Friday Night T.G.I.F” and viewers may not recognize the super trendy singer at first.

The video starts with a very nerdy looking group of kids the morning after a big Friday night party at their parents house.

Perry sports braces, nerd cloths, nerd hair, nerd glasses, mustache waxing, a hangover, and nerd friends. Rebecca Black makes an appearance as does the 1900’s boy band Hanson.

There are also cameos from Glee's Darren Criss, Kenny G playing the saxophone, Corey Feldman as her father, and 80's rocker Debbie Gibson as her mother.

The premise is the makeover of a geek dweeb nerd into a beautiful swan. We won’t give it all away so just watch and enjoy!

‘Glee’ Cast Covers Rebecca Black’s ‘Friday’ – Video

Leave it to the cast of “Glee” to break social norms.

This Tuesday night will be no different.

In an episode titled “Prom Queen”, the cast of “Glee” will take on "Dancing Queen" from Abba, "Rolling in the Deep" from Adele, and "Isn't She Lovely" from Stevie Wonder.

But the big news is they will also be doing a revamped version of the now infamous Rebecca Black song “Friday”.

Black released her version of “Friday” last month and the world flat out laughed it into fame - not because it was good, but because it was bad. So very very bad.

It was so bad that Jimmy Fallon and Stephen Colbert used it in a parody duet on Jimmy’s show after Colbert lost a bet.

And the website FunnyorDie did a “Behind the Music” parody that is one of the funniest pieces I’ve ever seen.

But the “Glee Cast” actually nailed the song with their revised up-tempo version. I can actually imagine driving down the road with the windows open singing along with the beat. Okay, not really.

Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Fallen Feud Over Charity Donations – Sings Rebecca Blacks “Friday” with The Roots. Video

Jimmy Fallen and Stephen Colbert are feuding over the almighty dollar – charity dollars that is.

It seems that Fallen and Colbert, who claim they have been best friends for six months, got into an on air battle for donations to the charity Donors Choose.

Colbert challenged Fallon’s fans to raise $26,000 for the charity, saying that Fallon would match any donations. Fallon, on the other hand, said he never made that claim.

The feud culminated in an amazing run of giving when Fallon and NBC were able to raise $86,000.

But why was Stephen Colbert so dead set against Fallon’s efforts?

Because Colbert agreed to appear on Jimmy’s show and sing the Rebecca Black smash hit single song “Friday” with the “Roots” if he lost.

Well… Colbert lost, and the result was one of the best pieces of comedy television that we’ve ever seen.

Colbert started singing alone, and then was joined by an auto-tuned rap by Fallon, and then American Idol winner Taylor Hicks piled on, and finally the Jimmy Fallon Dancers rounded out the number.

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the most embarrassing loss for charity in late night history.

Rebecca Black, ‘Behind The Music’ Parody on Funny Or Die – Hilarious!

Poor Rebecca Black.

The website Funny or Die did a great parody of the infamous VH1 “Behind the Music” called “Betwixed The Music” and this week’s target – “Friday” singer Rebecca Black.

In this classic comedic parody, the video showcases her “Rise to fame” and then her tragic downfall and untimely death from the dark side of success.

One girl, with one song, about one day…. The road was not easy. After hours of struggle, she finally hit the big time.

Leave it to FunnyOrDie to pick up on this terrible 15 minutes of fame. There is even a cameo from Van Halen front man Sammy Hager.

Black tells in her own words about what happened when the dark side of fame came knocking on her door.

The parties where she was offered the hard stuff - Pixy Stix, Tootsie Rolls, late night parties, and the one time Jay Leno offered her a Werther’s Original.

Oh the shame, the agony, the pity, and the tragedy that was Rebecca Black. We only wish this whole mess was just an April fool’s joke.

Rebecca Black Does The Jay Leno Show… and, Sings?

The infamous singer of what some have called the worst song ever visited with Jay Leno last night.

13-year-old YouTube sensation Rebecca Black has been widely panned for her song “Friday”, and says she has received tons of hate mail and death threats since her video went viral on the internet last week.

She explained to Leno how the whole thing came about, and how she turned down the first song presented to her.

Although Black sang “Friday”, the backing track was so loud that you could not really tell if Black was singing or lip syncing. But the bottom line is the same:

“Friday", sung by Rebecca Black is the worst song ever.

As for her next move -- Rebecca says she desperately wants to sing a duet with Justin Bieber.

Good luck with that…
