32-Year-Old Macaulay Culkin is having a bad day on twitter today…

Users all around the world on Sunday were trying to spread the rumor that the “Home Alone” actor had died from a heroin overdose.

The rumors of Culkin's death were just a hoax and just the latest celebrity to be killed off by Twitter.

Culkin has admitted to reporters that in the past he had struggled with drug and alcohol addiction but insists that today he is clean and sober – with the exception of a bad Red Bull habit.

Yes, at one point a few months back the actor was looking gaunt and unhealthy, but now he seems to have bounced back and actively participating in the New York art scene.

In fact, just last week the actor opened up his apartment and personal life to the press to describe his latest art project - promoting his new art exhibition called "Leisure Inferno" which runs from September 13th to December 15th at New York's Le Poisson Rouge gallery.

Macaulay Culkin and his two partners released a video describing their new art adventure and Culkin seemed more than lucid and quite healthy and in good spirits in the video.

Culkin once quipped that he had made enough money by the time he was 12-years-old to never have to work again.

With that kind of money and the amount of time Macaulay has on his hands now that he has backed away from the movie industry seems to have cultivated in a love for abstract and bizarre art.

Way to go Mac – we hope the exhibit is a success!

Photo – Bronze Statue of Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez by Artist Daniel Edwards

Okay, we are just going to have to file this one under strange and bizarre.

Bizarre, odd, uncanny, weird, peculiar, abnormal – we’re still trying to find the words to describe this post - but here goes…

Meet 46-year-old Daniel Edwards from New York.

Daniel describes himself as an American sculptor whose art addresses celebrity and popular culture in ways that have often stirred controversy.

And his latest work is no exception.

Mr. Edwards is such a fan of pop sensations Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez that he has created a nude bronze statue of the two love birds conjoined together, standing on a base featuring a Canadian goose and a Texan Armadillo.

The simple message engraved on the base? “Justin and Selena Forever.”

The superstar’s naughty parts have been covered with a Canadian maple leaf for Bieber and a Texas star for Gomez.

We particularly liked the goose and armadillo and think it adds a touch of class and sophistication – NOT.

Now you might ask yourself why somebody would do this – but Edwards seems to be one of those artists that lives on the fringe.

Daniels Facebook page is complete with a selection of his previous artistic creations including Lil Wayne, Ja Rule, Jay Z with a white raven on his head, Kanye West with a white peacock on his head, Snoop Dog with a rooster on his head, Britney Spears giving birth to Sean Preston, and… well, you get the idea.

In fact, this current work is not the first Bieber and Gomez creation Daniel has created.

The following works are titled "Paris is for Lovers - Justin and Selena in Vegas" and "Puppy Love - Justin and Selena" - click to enlarge.

No word yet about what Edwards wants to do with his Bieber art, but initially he plans to unveil the statue at a gallery called “Dallas’s New Fine Arts” which is famous for their lewd and racy artwork.

Okay, were not trying to judge here, and we are not haters by nature, but we think somebody needs to check into Bellevue Hospital just to see if there’s a loose bolt rolling around somewhere upstairs.

We’re just saying…

If you would like to get to know artist Daniel Edwards a bit better, then watch the following video titled “The Several Severed Heads of Daniel Edwards.”

See! He’s not such a bad guy. Just a little deranged and obsessed with severed heads, art, and childhood horrors.

Kind of makes your life look really really normal about now doesn’t it?

Steve Martin Looses $850,000 in German Art Fraud Scandal

Who knew comedian Steve Martin was into art?

Well, some of us did.

If you watch The Colbert Report you have seen Steve and Stephen go head to head in their elite lust for the perfect piece of art and culture.

But seriously, Steve Martin is a connoisseur of fine art and has collected some of the most impressive, and expensive pieces out there for his private collection.

But know it looks like the banjo playing comedian has been burned – and bad.

In Cologne Germany, police believe Martin has been the victim of one of the biggest art forgery scandals in the country's history.

Cops believe he purchased a painting forged by a team of crooks being investigated for selling dozens of such forged art pieces over the last ten years.

According to investigators, in 2004 Martin purchased what he thought was a 1915 painting called “Landscape With Horses” by German modernist painter Heinrich Campendonk.

Landscape With Horses

He bought it from the Paris Gallery, paying $850,000, and then resold it in 2006 at Christie’s Auction House for only $350,000 taking a major loss on the deal.

But now it turns out it was a fake – a forgery so good that it even fooled the Paris Gallery and Christies.

Martin says,

“It wasn’t clear that it was a fake until after Christie’s had sold the picture, it was a long time after that, that it became known. The forgers were quite clever in that they gave it a long provenance and they faked labels, and it came out of a collection that mingled legitimate pictures with faked pictures.”

German police arrested the forgery gang leader Wolfgang Beltracchi, his wife Helene, her sister Jeanette and accomplice Otto Schulte-Kellinghaus, last year.

Investigators believe the group sold at least forty forged paintings over the last ten years and they were all forgeries of artists from the first half of the 20th century, including Campendonk, Max Pechstein, Max Ernst and several others.

So we have to ask, if you had an extra $850 G’s laying around would you buy that painting for your family room?

Things must be nice in Hollyweird.
