I guess we knew this day was going to come sooner or later…

Today a photographer was killed when he was hit by another car while trying to get photos of Justin Bieber’s Ferrari hot rod.

It all went down in Los Angeles when Chris Guerra - a freelance photographer who thought he was hot on the heels of Justin Bieber and his friend’s hot rodding through L.A. in his Ferrari while smoking weed...

Turns out that none of it was true and Bieber was not even in California and not even in the car. The car was being driven by none other than rapper Lil Twist.

But Bieber’s Ferrari was indeed pulled over by California Highway Patrol for speeding - and Chris Guerra, the photographer, was told by the cops to stay away from the scene.

While crossing the street to return to his car, Guerra was hit by an oncoming car and killed.

Justin Bieber released a statement saying,

"Hopefully this tragedy will finally inspire meaningful legislation and whatever other necessary steps to protect the lives and safety of celebrities, police officers, innocent public bystanders, and the photographers themselves."

Bieber has had problems with aggressive paparazzi before, and just a few months ago had to call 911 because a gang of photographers was chasing him on the freeway at almost 100 MPH.

Bieber also had an altercation with a pap in a mall parking lot after the singer said he had blocked his exit.

Bieber jumped from his van and assaulted the man. The police were called and girlfriend Selena Gomez had to calm him down and retrieve his shoes.

No word yet if any arrests were made but we suspect this story is going to be around for a long long time…
