Ozzy Osborne Reunites with “Black Sabbath” for New Album and Concert Tour - Video

Ozzy Osbourne
Well, just when you thought Ozzy Osborne was fading into the darkness of evil geriatric rock stars he has surprised us all again with another resurrection.

It seems that Ozzy and his buddies are getting the band Black Sabbath back together - although technically the group has existed in one form or another for over thirty years.

A lot of you may be too young to even know who we are talking about, but before Ozzy wrote “Crazy Train” and had his reality show and did Super Bowl commercials he was in a kick butt hard rock band called Black Sabbath.

There have been many people in the band over the last 30 years, and lots of people think the band died in 1979 when Ozzy was fired.

But the guys have been hard at it for three decades in one form or another.

Black Sabbath was formed in 1968 by Ozzy Osborne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward. The various group members and incarnations have released 40 albums during the life of the group.

And now they are reuniting again with the Prince of Darkness himself – Ozzy Osborne.

This is the first time the original band members have been together since 1979.

Tony Iommi told the Birmingham Mail that he and Ozzy have already written enough new songs to release a new album, and that are planning a North American tour sometime in 2112 to celebrate their reunion.

"We’re really looking forward to it and I think the stuff we’ve been writing is really good. ‘It’s more back to the old original stuff.”

The reunion has been kept top secret for almost two years because they didn’t want any outside influence of any kind.

"It’s all been very hush-hush. Ozzy’s been the worst at trying to hold it back. He’s doing a lot of television and he’s being asked stuff about a reunion and he’s saying never say never”.

Ozzy, who has a life time of drug and substance abuse problems, famously bit the head off a bat at a concert once, and gave himself the name “Prince of Darkness”.

Most fans not familiar with Black Sabbath’s music got to know Ozzy from his hit reality television show that also launched the career of his wife Sharon Osborne, and their daughter Kelley.

Sharon Osborne is currently a judge on America’s Got Talent and has had her own daytime talk show.

For a brief time during the 80’s, Ozzy had a solo career with guitarist Randy Rhodes before he was killed in a plane crash.

Bring it Ozzy – we can’t wait to see what you’ve been holding back all these years.
